We Can’t Without You.
It was a regular Tuesday when we dropped off some essentials to a foster mom who hadn’t had time—or energy—to shop. One of her kids had just started trauma therapy after yet another visit from the local police to their home. Another kiddo had just been suspended. The laundry was a mountain, the fridge was empty, and she looked so tired, I wanted to cry for her. But when she saw the gift basket—a candle, a journal, dinner for that night—her face shifted. It wasn’t about the food or the gift. It was about being seen. “I didn’t even know how much I needed this,” she whispered. And just like that, the story started to turn—because someone showed up.
That someone could be you. When you give, when you volunteer, when you pray, when you advocate—you're not just “helping a nonprofit.” You’re stepping into the story of a family learning to breathe again. You’re reminding foster parents that they’re not alone in the chaos. You’re helping a child stay in one home long enough to stop flinching when someone raises their voice. It might feel small. It might not feel like enough. But to the family on the other side of your support? It's everything.
We say it often, and we mean it: you are part of the light. Every act of generosity—big or small—is a ripple of hope in a system that often feels too dark. But together, we push back that darkness. We lighten the load. We keep families steady. So thank you—for playing your part in the story. We couldn’t do this without you.
